About Us

Our
Story
Sheoletze Media was founded by Hillary Cagey, a member of the Lummi Nation.
With a background in marketing and communications and formal training at the Institute of American Indian Arts, her work is rooted in visual storytelling that reflects lived experience and community perspective.
The studio was created with the intention of developing Indigenous-centered content where Native voices are heard clearly and represented with care. Rather than relying on familiar or stereotypical narratives, the work focuses on stories that feel honest, contemporary, and grounded in place.
Sheoletze Media is especially committed to sharing stories connected to Coast Salish culture—highlighting resilience, creativity, and everyday life through film, photography, and digital media that honors the complexity of Native experience.
